Significant Turning Point in My Life

All people in this world must experience a turning point in their life. It can turn from good to worst or from worst to be better. It depends on the person itself because every people have their own right to choose what they are going to be. It also happens to me. I feel so many turning points that happen to me and change my life. Every single moment that happen in my life give a big influence for my habit, my behavior, and my ability. However, the most significant turning that happened to me was decreasing motivation to study. I really felt that my motivation to study was decreasing continually because of different situation and environment around me.

When I was in Elementary School, I was so diligent to study because I had so many competitors to get the first rank. At that time, I always did my homework after school. I also reminded the material that I have learned. At night, I studied hard to prepare the material for the next day. My father always accompanied me when I studied. He taught me the material that I did not understand. He really gave big support and motivation for me. That was why, I could get a good rank at Elementary School. I also became one of the best students in my school. So that, I often represented my school to join many competitions. I was afraid if there was someone who got better score than me. Maybe it made me too ambitious, so that I never let my friend to cheat my work. I did the test or examination by my self and I got satisfied scores for it.

When I was in Junior High School, I became more lazy because I had less motivation to study. I just did the homework without studying hard for preparing the next material. I had less motivation to study because my father never accompanied me when I studied. I also was not interesting with the lesson in Junior High School. The teachers who taught me not as great as the teachers who taught me when I was in Elementary School. However, I still had some competitors who motivated me to study and get a good score. In every examination, we always did the test by ourselves and we competed to be the best. So that, I still had good scores and good rank when I was in Junior High School eventhough it was not as satisfied as I was in Elementary School.

 

 The most significant turning happened when I was in Senior High School because I was so lazy and never studied. At first, I still did my homework at home and studied hard for the examination. However, when the examination, my friends cheated my work. I could not prevent it because I was afraid if they were getting angry to me. When the teacher announced the result, my friends got the same score with me. I was so disappointed because I knew that I studied hard to get that score, but my friends who cheated at me, they also could get a good score eventhough they did not do so many efforts to reach it. Since that time, I was so lazy to study because I did not want my effort was cheated with the other people. My father also asked me to do what my friends have done. So that, I did the homework before the school began and cheated when the examination. I did not have any competitor because togetherness was a priority for us.

Overall, I know that I experience a bad turning point. However, it happened because of so many factors that influenced me like motivation, situation, and environment around me. I knew that it was bad, but I had no choice at that time because I did not want to feel disappointed in every time. Now, I realize that I choose the wrong choice because now I have to bring my motivation back to study. I hope, step by step I can bring my motivation back and get the best result for it.

Narrative I

My Blue Jacket

The time when I was in Senior High School is the best moment ever in my life because it really gave me many experiences which could not be forgotten. Senior High School was my time for enjoying my youth. My friends and I often did something fun like hanging out together, making a joke, teasing each other, celebrating our sweet seventeenth birthday, and doing many other activities. Sometimes, we also loved to miss-class when we felt that the lesson was so boring. However, the most unforgettable moment was the time when I was inaugurated as one of the members of student organization in senior high school and it was a pride for me.

I needed so many sacrifices and struggles to become the member of student organization because I had to pass the challenges. I had to do the practice of line march every Sunday for 9 months and it really made me feel so exhausted. I did the practice under the sunshine and it made my complexion getting darker and darker. Besides, I also got headache because my senior asked me to do the practice in 5 hours without stopping. When I did something wrong during the practice, my senior would get angry and give punishment for me like pushing up or sitting up. My senior also would give so many satire words which made me feel so depressed. This practice also made me so busy and had less time for holiday. Every Sunday, for 9 months I had to go to school and did the practice. I woke up at 5 a.m. because I should be at school at 6 a.m. So that, I had less time for enjoying my time with my family and hanging out with my friends. The most annoying thing was I could not get up late on Sunday like what my friends did.

I had many new close friends who became the members of student organization. We were from different classes which brought our own vision, but we united to be the member of student organization. We met every Sunday to do the practice of line march. We laughed together when the senior gave reward for us and cried together when the senior gave punishment for us. It made us have the same feeling and the same perception. We often shared our problems each others and the other friend would give the solution for it. Sometimes, we also fought or argued each others because we had different ideas or characteristics, but it did not take so many times because we would find the way to solve it. Did many activities together made us closer and closer. We knew each others, understood each others, and the most important thing was we cared each others. We were like a family. They made me realized that togetherness is awesome. From them, I know what togetherness is.

We were different and special because not all of the students in our school could be like us. We were so happy when the inauguration day came and it was the first time we wore our pride jacket, our blue jacket, the jacket of student organization. Maybe many people thought that blue jacket was not same or it was similar with the other jacket, but it was really different for us. We needed so many efforts to get it and finally we really got it in our inauguration day. We were so proud. We knew that it was not the end of our struggle, but it was our new struggle, our new story as the member of student organization. Many teachers and students gave compliment to us. They said that we had to maintain the fame of our school and became a good “bridge” between the teachers and the students. I loved that day. Everyone who met us smiled to us. We were so thankful to all of our seniors because they had taught us for 9 months. Sometimes, we were so angry to them, but at that day we realized that what my senior had taught was useful things. It would help us to do the job as the member of student organization. Being a member of student organization and the representative of my school to join many events which were held by other schools or institutions was a great happiness in my life.

So, have you ever heard that proverb said, “no gain without pain”? Now, I realize that it is so true. We need so many sacrifices and struggles to get what we want. I was so proud because I had been the member of student organization in my senior high school. I was so happy because I really knew what togetherness was. I was not only knowing the meaning of togetherness by words, but I felt it by my self. Since I became the member of student organization, I felt so many good changes on my self. I became more patient, more enjoyable, and many others. So, never give up to get what you want. You need to have struggle for getting it because if you never desperate, I am sure that you will get what you want and you will feel so satisfied and happy when you get it.

My Wonderful Friend

At first, I think this life is so boring. Everyday I have to get up in the morning, take a bath, go to school, do the homework, and many other things that become my routine activities. I do all of my activities well, but I can not enjoy it. I feel so tired after doing all of my activities and also I do not know what I will be in the future because I just do it and follow my parents’ wish. However, it is so different when I met her, one of my best friends when I was in senior high school. She makes me realize that life is not as flat as I think. She tells me that this world is so wonderful. She is my best friend. She is so attractive, smart, and always there for me in every situation.

My best friend is good looking. She has an oval face and round eyes which makes her looks so attractive. She is also so beautiful with her wavy hair, thin lips, pointed nose, and fair complexion. Her body is good because she is a great dancer. She is also so fashionable. She always knows the newest trend and modificates it to suit her taste. That is why, sometimes she becomes the trend center of style for us. She is so girly because she loves to wear make up and accessories like earrings, necklace, and bracelet. She looks so elegant with her style.

 My best friend is so smart. She always gets rank in her class. She always gets good scores in every examination. She is also so active. She joins many organization or club which can enrich her knowledge and experience. Sometimes, she is so busy with her activities in that organization or club, but she can still spend her time for studying. That is why she always brings books everywhere. She also likes to read novels. She always tells me that it is so important for us to balance our knowledge with our society, so that she always keeps studying eventhough she is so busy with her activities in her organization or club. She always says that of course we need to have good knowledge which can help us to reach our dreams in the future, but it is also so important to have good relation with others because we can not live alone. We definitely need others to help us facing this life.

My best friend always accompanies me in every situation. When I am sad because I broke up with my boyfriend or when I am happy because I get a good rank, she is always there for me. She really understands me. She always listens my stories or my problem and she gives the solution for it wisely. When I broke up with my boyfriend, she comes to me and helps me to “repair” my feeling or my heart. When I am hard to understand a lesson, she will come to my house and teaches me about that lesson patiently. When I feel so sad, she always comes to me and comforts me. She can bring my smile back with her jokes. She also always asks me to do “crazy” things to release my emotions, like singing loudly, going to the beach, screaming loudly, and also doing many others thing that I have never thought before.

My best friend gives an extraordinary influences for my life. Maybe some people think that this kind of friend only exist in my imagination. However, I emphasize that it is so wrong. I also do not predict if I can have a friend like her. She makes my life, especially when I was in senior high school, so colorful. She helps me to color my life. Many people have ever said that if you have “crazy” friend, it means that you have everything. Since I met her, my best friend, I really realize that it is so true. My best friend always inspires me. She is so attractive with her appearance, she is so smart with her knowledge and experience, and she is always beside me in every situation. She is really a wonderful friend.

My Mother, My Everything

“Mom, you are my everything.”

Have you ever heard this quotation? Or have you ever felt it? Yap, I think you have same opinion with me. Mother is everything. She is one of many people who gives extraordinary influences for my life. She has been in my life since I was born and she will always be in my life, no matter what happens. She is so important for me. She is a beautiful woman who is full of love and always becomes my inspiration.

My mother is a beautiful woman. She has an oval face which makes her looks so attractive. She also has straight hair, big eyes, thin lips, and pointed nose. She looks so beautiful with her fair complexion. She has a nice body because she was a good dancer when she was young. She is so fashionable. Her style is simple, but looks so elegant. Everyone who meets her for the first time usually thinks that my mother is still in early 30’s. Now, she is 47 years old, but still looks so beautiful, fresh, and young.

My mother is full of love. It is hard to describe the feeling that a mother has for her children. She always gives great supports for me. If I do something wrong, my mother never gets angry. She just tells me that I am wrong and teaches me to do the right thing. She is the first person who teaches me to walk, speak, and wear make-up. She also the person who makes me realize that life is so beautiful when we love it. My mother also the only person that can always accompany me in every situation. She is the most faithful person who always listens my stories or my problems and gives the best solution for it. She also always understands me. She understands my ability, my behavior, and my habit. She teaches me how to change my bad behavior or habit to be better and better. She never leaves me alone to face this awful life.

My mother is my inspiration. She is good in cooking and doing all the house works. She is a teacher in junior high school. She always tells me that become a teacher is a honorable job. It is so happy to share our knowledge with others. She loves her students like she loves her children. Eventhough she is busy with her job, she still can spend her time for us, for her family. She is a great woman. She always smiles although she has a big problem. She always smiles eventhough she is sad. She is really a good mother who inspires me.

I am who I am because of my mother. She gives so many influences for my life. She is so attractive with her appearance, she is full of love, and she always inspires me to do great things in my life. I love my mother like I love my life. My mother is my everything.
